Religious Freedom Endorsed by SCOTUS
A Praying Football Coach Scores One for the Constitution
Religion permitted.
No endorsement/establishment of religion.
No hostility towards religion.
How is this hard to understand? There is a reason and good reason at that for there to be religious freedom laws. Religion is simply not confined to certain spaces whether home or church. It spills out into everyday life. If you’re Muslim you can have your pastry shop or food store where you should be allowed to serve or not serve certain foods or say or not say certain things on your pastries (and in my estimation, serve whom you want to serve). To ask why one needs to express themselves in public is a moot point. In one sense there is no ultimate religious neutrality. Abortion policies reflect certain metaphysical claims about human beings. Education reflects certain values, based primarily in formal religion or no religion at all, thus, why you have private schools, religious schools, home-schooling and the like.
